New In│The Body Shop & Topshop
Hi guys! How have you been? I'm preparing a little life-update-type-of post, but I wanted to throw this wee haul on my blog.
Almost everything in here is from The Body Shop. I used to shop there a lot but lately, I've been neglecting it a little, so I decided to change that! The Amazonian Wild Lily and Atlas Mountain Rose fragrance mists are gorgeous. The first mentioned was actually for my Grandma because she needed a new fragrance for travelling, and the rose one was for me because I love everything rose-scented, and this is so much like Roses de Chloé (which I love so dearly!).
Next up, I got a little facial brush. It's quite soft, but it might be a tiny bit too harsh for my sensitive skin. Well, time will tell if careful using will go unpunished!
The Vitamin E Cool BB Cream sample was a total miss; it's OBVIOUSLY too ark for me because I am the palest person in the world. On the other hand, the Tea Tree Pore Minimiser one I was really delighted to get to try! Inside the little pot, there is a Moringa Body Butter sample, which smells delightful like a sour fizzy candy to me!
Last, but not least, I got a Brows eyebrow pencil from Topshop in the shade Vicious Circle (I think) - a light, ashy brown shade, and I really like it so far, I've already used it a couple times.
So, this is all I got for now! Hope you like it. Let me know if you've tried some of these products and how you liked them!
See you later!
Tess

Empties│January
Hi everyone!
Today I'm going to talk a little about some used up products that have gathered over the past couple weeks.
The first photo is 'Face products'. The Alverde facial wash cream is aimed at combination/oily skin and it was alright but a little bit drying. I quite liked it but won't repurchase, as I've already bought different facial washes to try out. I only really bought the L'Oreal Sublime Soft micellar water because I had like, 20 or 30% off on it and I was on a tight budget, and again, it was an okay product, but I found out it smelled really weird after applying it on my face, and as I don't like L'Oreal, I won't be repurchasing. Essence Pureskin nose strips, on the other hand, are quite a staple for me. Not really sure if this whole nose strips business is really working that much, but I certainly like them better than eg. the Nivea ones. The Sans Soucis Aqua Benefits 24h moisturizer was a favourite of mine. It feels nice, lightweight but still moisturizing and it didn't irritate my skin at all. I got it in a beautybox and the only reason I won't be repurchasing is the price, unfortunately. The Body Shop camomile gentle eye make up remover was a whole different case. It was burning in my eyes when I used it and made them all red. I had to stop using it and eventually I just had to throw it away.
Now onto the 'Other products'. I really liked Sephora's daily makeup brush cleanser, and I might be repurchasing but I'd prefer to find a cruelty free alternative. I got the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle sample from my Dad while I was in Germany at his place, and really liked what it did to my hair. I might buy the full-sized bottle in the future. Marks & Spencer is a great place to buy travel-sized stuff to put in your bag, and these Citrus zest hand wipes were..well, great. I got the miniature size of Soap & Glory's The Righteous Butter in a giftset I bought in German Douglas (as you can't get the brand in The Czech Rep) and I love the whole set, so no surprise I loved this thingie too. It smells just perfect and feels really moisturizing! Would repurchase right away.
So these were my empties, hope you liked this post. Have a great day, lovelies!

New in│Drugstore buys
Hi people! I've been so busy with life I had no time to blog. I'm gonna write about some of that later, though, now onto some on-a-tighter-budget drugstore buys!
I was in fact on a hunt for a nice smelling body care product and as soon as I took a sniff of the Balea cocoa body butter, I was sold. It reminds me of The Body Shop's Chocomania range! The choice of conditioner was kind of a spur of the moment and I must say that so far it didn't impress me. It's not bad but nothing awesome. If there's something I definitely DON'T need, it's lippies. Anyway, I got 190 The Nuder The Better by Catrice and 01 Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate. The nailpolishes were on sale and they are 405 Rose Libertine by Rimmel, a very pretty retro-ish coral/pink shade, and Mistero Grey by Gabriella Salvete, a sparkle bomb with a sandy finish. The last thing I got is an eyeshadow duo by Dermacol I intend to carry around in my makeup bag for touch-ups and emergency cases.
What have you bought lately? Do you buy drugstore cosmetics?
Have a lovely evening!

New in│Lippies
Hello everyone! This morning, I realized this is my last week off before Uni starts. I'm quite excited about the whole thing of starting fresh (well, again) but I still have to run many errands and work so many things out, I'm a little scared of all the mess. Anyway, as I promised, here is the new-lipstick post (aka lipsticks take my mind off nasty stuff - for a while)!
After what I'd seen oh their website (look for Rimmel against animal testing), I went a little Rimmel-crazy. I picked up four shades; 07 - a pretty neutral colour very similar to my natural lip colour (but a tad darker), 12 - a bright orange on the verge of red, 02 - a bright hot pink, and Berry Queen - a dark red/purple (perfect autumn colour).
I also wanted to join the lip-colour-butter-balm-stain-Idon'tknowwhatelse bandwagon, so I gave this Astor one in Pink Lady (also after reading their animal-testing statement). Such a pretty colour but not moisturizing at all, I still want to try a different brand.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the purchases. Today I'm wearing Rimmel 02, such a feel-good shade!
Hope you're all doing great! Have you bought some interesting lip products lately?

Life lately
As my birthday slowly approaches, I can’t help myself but feel a little
sad. I’m like that, every year, don’t know why, though. Days are getting
shorter and darker and Uni starts in less than a month.
So I treated
myself a bunch of cute stuff. The pink cableknit sweater and the rose scarf are both
from H&M, peach & almond body lotion is from Marks&Spencer,
double earrings from Six and I found my little Cottonflower Sephora
perfume I completely forgot I’d had (so it counts as new as well, haha).
I also bought powder pink slippers at F&F for the colder months to
arrive.
I couldn’t have resisted a box of Chai tea bags at M&S, either. So now I’m listening to The Grates whom I rediscovered today, painting my nails pale pink and going to have some Chai teda afterwards while watching Gigolos. Coziness for the win!
